08/10/2010 19:02

Wow, just finished watching 4.3.2.1 directed and produced by UK film developer Noel Clarke! Wicked story line, wicked characters, wickedly produced. This film was saying a lot for a novice British production and is definitely an evolvement from the original kidult hood and adult hood movies, also produced by noel!

Bangers as follows:

4.3.2.1. Track Listing

1. Adam Deacon & Bashy feat. Paloma Faith - Keep Moving
2. Bodyrox – No BullShit
3. Lissie - When I'm Alone
4. Adam Deacon - “Ya Get Me” movie snippet
5. Adam Deacon - On This Ting
6. Kerry Leatham - A Different Light
7. Kevin Smith & Tamsin Egerton - “Bend Over” movie snippet

9. Mz Bratt - I Wanna Party
10. The Union Exchange - Don’t Look Back

16. Davinche – DanceFloor
17. Mz Bratt feat. Griminal - This Year
18. Ashley Walters – Forever
19. Bashy ft Zalon – She’s A Gangsta
20. Tamsin Egerton – “You Took My Shopping” movie snippet
21. Adam Deacon - Typical Actor
22. Bodyrox – Pretty Young Things (Personal Favorite !!)
23. Adam Deacon - My Size Kid
24. Emma Roberts – “Strangely Sexy Though” movie snippet

4321 sees the stories of four hot young girls caught up in a diamond scandal with twists and cameos from several big American names. Including one of my favourites, original ruffryder – E V E.

Shame I can’t say the same about this years Shank 2010, also featuring some of the same cast from 4.3.2.1. The production and editing work is masterful and engaging for the eye, but the overall story line struggles to keep me engaged with the movie – a bit dull.

Overall

4.3.2.1 = ****

Shank 2010 = **

Turning Point 2010 Festival !!!

20/09/2010 20:31

This weekend we were invited to attend the Turning Point 2010 Festival at the Camden roundhouse !!! we were supporting the young people we are working with on the Dare to Dream Documentary production. The Festival had five different stages and show cased some great raw UK Talent, performers included JME, Lady Dynamite and Professor Green, as well as an exclusive set to showcase our very own KYC entourage.

We rolled up to the event in a minibus filled for 20, were given our tickets at the door and told to make our way through the main entrance into the roundhouse.

The Kyc youths proceeded backstage whilst I got stuck at the entrance to be searched and hassled for a filming permit. As I stood anxiously observing what was to follow, we were rescued !

Are you the KYC Flm squad?

Indeed we are.

Your up in five min, you need to be on set and ready immediately to commence filming !!!

The KYC crew consists of several musicians, singers, rappers and vocalists showcasing their talent.

We have been working with all these young people over the last few weeks towards making our feature DVD "Dare to Dream".

The young people featured on the DVD are the same young people who helped to make it. They are some of the most talented, inspiring and motivating young people I have meet. They are consistently pushing barriers and expressing creativity through positive and constructive means.

To my greatest delight ... They smashed up their set, which constituted of two 30min slots on an outdoor stage at the Camden roundhouse, watched by over 200 people both entertaining and original. Our cameraman Mark Green, and gonzo journalist Abdolla Moalim were able to catch up with some of the KYC performers after their performances which will be featured exclusively on the "Dare to Dream" documentary.

" KYC ... Set for big things" - funmilayo

"What a show !!" - Sabina

Admittedly, these kids really did entertain and perform to a high standard, amongst the acts were GLide and the SK entourage, Starcy and Madda. I believe that all these acts are extremely talented in their creative field being music, therefore whether they make it in the music industry or not is irrelevant, because they have already made it in themselves – to be loved by all those around them and all those with an interest, and the results are astonishing!

After the performance we caught up with some of the staff and volunteers working at the festival, we also filmed a Q&A session with several music industry professionals including the beautiful Ms Dynamite. The event was pleasant and after the KYC set, the crowd enjoyed a Zionist reggae set by Ziggy Funk who Iried us out with the latest reggae riddims and conscious Vocals.

Present at the event were other commercial organisations and business including Pins @ pinsinspired.com and Sony HQ who were showcasing the latest 3D televisions, mp3 players, stero’s and SLOMO cameras!

The 3D TV is absolutely amazing, but retailing at £1500. For the set and an additional £100.00 per 3D glasses the set is not cheap!

But it is worth it!  - It takes football visual experience to a whole next level.

Celeste and Raphel international promoters for Sony did a great job in engaging the crowd with the latest Sony gear and we  were all kitted out and experimenting within no time, they also gave away three 3D TVs , Mp3 players and stereos in their competitions and overall had a good pitch which received a lot of attention throughout the festival.

The night went on two feature performances in the main space from Roll Deep, Dynamite, Delvin, Donaeo, JME and MistaJam.

Overall wicked Vbez throughout the whole festival...

Will we be going back next year???

Most Definitely!!

Special thanks to Ms dynamite, Ben Kwofie , xBx, Starcy , Whats Up & Funmilayo for a wicked Set !!

Me and Ms Dynamite @ Turning Point 2010 !!

Next Round House Event :

The TING TINGS!! ARE BACK !!!!

17/09/2010 14:13

Yes it is true, the most controversial, original and wickedest recent sounds from the UK are back again after touring the world!!

Originating in Manchester the tings tings released their first album in 2008 !!!

They smashed up the scene by hosting a range of exclusive house parties and little raves to promote the sound.

And this is a real sound!! Combining drums, vocals and auto tune the by product of these two extremely talented individuals is massive.

They make their music their way and it says a lot about them and their success.

Dare To Dream ©

03/09/2010 12:32

Greetings Realroaderz,

Just thought id share a peep at our up and coming Docu-drama which we aim to be commissioned by channel 4. The series is called “Dare to Dream” and is a reality based drama presented in the style of documentary. Featured on this project is our very own Gorilla Journalist Abdullah Moalim and Media Director Duncan Tinkler. The style of production is both innovative and interactive as it follows he lives of real young people trying to make their dreams happen for them in London. The series is divided into several episodes which evolve and change as the story progresses. All the characters are based on real people and their real lives. Realroadz present the viewer with an underground view on the reality of young people daring to break out of their box and explore alternative realities.

The dare to dream project is set to be broadcasted on British national television as well as several cable channels and online. The Realroadz team will design an online space where we will host all our episodes along with additional media and video footage from the project. There will be a forum to discuss what happens during the weather spoons and a chance to get involved with the project development as well as competitions and prizes to be won.

So far the Realroadz team have interviewed and assessed over 40 young people to be featured in the production, visited and assessed sets and locations across North West London, Designed and developed a provisional script & story board and discussed characters. The views and opinions as well as the characters and issues faced in this series have all been designed and developed in accordance with the needs and wants of young people. At Realroadz we pride ourselves on being able to actively engage and stimulate young people learning and development, that’s why all our work and projects are conducted with the close consultation and involvement from local young people in our community who are fighting to a positive change.

Dare to dream was an adaptation of the “Do we still dream” project proposed earlier this year. The project has received the attention and guidance of the Princes Trust and with the new team and management on the go - this production is set to be a blast!!

I have featured a sneak preview of some of the characters who are set to feature in this mind opening drama based documentary...

The project is expected to run until mid December and the content will be published as the programme develops on an exclusive official website which is due o be launched in several weeks time. Unfortunately the production will not be aired on national television until sometime around June 2011 so you’ll have to keep checking the official site to see what’s happening until then.

Dare to dream will provide viewers with an insight into the reality and barriers that are common in most young people living in this par of London and others like it. We aim to show people the similarities between young people in terms of aspirations, motivations and goals. We aim to inspire and educate viewers on self help methods which we be demonstrated and witnessed real life 1st hand - right off the roadz

MC Tactics

29/08/2010 07:15

MC Tactics was born and raised in North West London. Living in and growing up in the ends she soon came to understand the road code and what it entailed. Tactics escape from this was music and I’ve been keen to write an article about her since I first encountered her Music in 2008.

She was the only female MC to feature on the MASSIVE NORTH WEEZY ANTHEM !!

Tactics was the

Her attitude, style and lyrics are all real!

Tactics has a talent for Mcing as well as singing and on is combines both in her debut "ready for this"

Tactics represents a small percentage of successful female grime artists who are able to uphold her feminine identity in a male dominated game. She is a power figure and inspiration. Tactics is currently working on a new single which she hopes to release at some point in the near future.

I hope tactics continues to make music because it is important that when people have a talent for something they share it with the world.

Working Hard

28/08/2010 22:47

2009 was a great year for us, many positive things happened for the organisation. We became a registered company, delivered workshops to over 150 young people. Conducted market research analysis in the forms of focus groups, surveys and interviews with over 300 young people. SKP commissioned Future Thinking for South Kilburn, Young Men’s Best Practice was another success and we ended the summer with a showcase of Talent.

In Sep09, I had to go back to university to finish my final year on a Business Management degree. Untold to many I was a student at the time we formed this company and I was only on a gap year due to having to do retakes! So alas, come September Realroadz came to a pause and all everything got quite. At uni I tired to liaison with the student council to form a society called the enlightenment society, and continued to try to educate and enlighten people by other means.

It had to be done, when you set out to start something, you should always see it through - no matter what distractions come your way.

So I dragged through my Final year and graduated  on July 06th 2010 - this was a happy day - (you deserved it mum x)

In life you should do what makes you happy, and this is usually what you’re naturally good at anyways. For me its business, I love every element of it, my work is out of love , not out of love for money. If you chase your dreams the money will come - if you chase the money, then the money will run !!

Wage Slaves are everywhere, slugging through their 9-5 not knowing who they really are or what their real purpose in life is.

So I graduated and travelled Europe for three weeks whilst doing some soul searching. - So out came the pen and with it the pad and i started to write what I had in my mind. The pages filled and the pad was finished and there remained a strategy for improvement motivated by the desire for success.

So were back!

New and super improved.
